13 Dec Former UCONN Medical Center CTO Michael Catrini Joins VertitechIT
With a twenty-year commitment to adopting technology solutions to improve patient care, Michael Catrini has joined Holyoke, Massachusetts-based healthcare consultancy VertitechIT as an Executive Project Officer (EPO). The former Chief Technology Officer for the University of Connecticut Medical Center and Rutland Vermont Regional Health Services, Catrini will lead engagements with large healthcare systems as the company continues to expand operations throughout the east coast and across the country.
“Michael exemplifies our company philosophy that information technology can have a significant impact on healthcare’s Quadruple Aim,” commented VertitechIT CEO Michael Feld. “He understands that a coherent digital IT strategy is fundamental to improving patient care, reducing costs, improving the health of populations, and making it easier for clinicians to do their jobs.”
“During my tenure at UCONN, I was fortunate to oversee a team of IT professionals that built multiple new facilities, successfully implemented an integrated private cloud EHR system, and developed an enterprise data warehouse and analytics reporting platform,” says Catrini. “Now it’s time to share that knowledge and experience with our VertitechIT health system clients across the country.”
Michael is the former Chair of the Connecticut Hospital Association Technology Leadership Group and was a charter member of the Aruba Networks Advisory Board. He resides with his family in Middletown, Connecticut.
